Dr. Rashmi Phalnikar, is an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Engineering and Technology at MIT World Peace University, Pune where she has been a faculty member since 2008.
She is a dedicated academician who understand the distinct learning needs, interests and aspirations of the student. She believes in improving undergraduate education by investigating innovative pedagogies, modern technology and teaching practice that enhance student engagement and student outcomes.
Besides her problem solving skills and motivation to promote learning, she has the capability to work independently as well as lead a team. She has held various administrative posts in the institute and currently she is the Ph.D. & Research Coordinator (Engineering).
Dr. Phalnikar has served as the Technical Program Committee Chair for two Springer International Conferences and the Coordinator of National Conference held at MIT Campus. Besides this, she has organized numerous Faculty Development Programs, Seminars and Workshops for undergraduates and postgraduate students. She is a Life Member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and Computer Society of India (CSI). As the Young Professional Chair at Institution of Engineering and Technology- Pune LN, she is responsible for ensuring the involvement of the youth in IET and that it is aligned to the broader strategy of the IET. Dr. Rashmi Phalnikar has a keen interest in travel and learning new skills. She is settled in Pune with her family.
Her published work to date, (more than 50) in reputed Conferences and Journals cover the theoretical and experimental work in the domain related to Software Engineering, Role of Non Functional Requirements, Application Areas of Data Mining and Data Analysis. She has written a book chapter on “Role of Technology in Nutrition Management of Critically Ill Patients” in Book titled – Principles in Clinical Care Nutrition published by Jaypee Brother. She has undertaken consultancy projects on “Online Monitoring Of Genset” for Trident Solutions, Pune, “App Development for analysis of nutrient value score and predicting nutritional requirements of ICU patients” for Sanjivan Hospital, Pune and “Android Application for EMR (OPD & IPD Clinical Data Management)” for Palash Healthcare Pvt. Ltd.
